今年2月17日のウクライナを皮切りにワールドツアーの続行を発表したばかりのスコーピオンズが、それにあわせる形でアルバム『Return To Forever（Tour Edition）』を3月11日に発売することが決定した。
本作は、ボーナストラック7曲を追加収録したCDに加え、全米でのアルバム発売記念イベントとなった9月のニューヨーク公演と６月のフランス公演を完全収録したDVD2枚を同梱した3枚組の豪華パッケージ。
DVDには、昨年の全米ツアー中に撮影されたドキュメンタリー映像「On The Road in America」、ミュージックビデオ「We Built This House」「Going Out With A Bang 」の他、リリックビデオ、楽曲解説インタビュー（英語版、ドイツ語版共に収録）などもボーナス映像として収録されている。
またアートワークも、オリジナル盤のデザインをベースにライブ映像を収録したアメリカとフランスの国旗をあしらった特別仕様となっている。
