ジャニス・ジョプリン

今なお圧倒的な人気を誇るロック史上最も偉大な女性シンガー、ジャニス・ジョプリン（1943/1/19 - 1970/10/4）の最新ドキュメンタリー映画『ジャニス：リトル・ガール・ブルー』が、2016年9月よりシアター・イメージフォーラム他全国にて順次公開されることが決定した。映画は遺族の全面協力によりバンドメンバーや親しい友人、昔の恋人、家族といった生前ジャニスの最も身近にいた人々からのインタビューを収録している。

そして今回、映画公開を記念し、7月20日に同名の国内盤公式サウンドトラック盤がリリースされることが発表された。オリジナルアルバムからの楽曲や、様々なライブ音源など全17曲の収録を予定。本作には、未発表音源として1968年4月にニューヨークのジェネレーション・クラブで行なわれた、キング牧師追悼コンサートでの「Piece Of My Heart（邦題：心のカケラ）」が初収録されることが目玉になっている。
